As our new Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of the Aurecon Water team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable in South East Queensland. You’ll be part of our growing Waterteambased inourBrisbane office.Ourteam workson a range of medium, large and major projects for the Queensland water market and the broader ANZ, focusing on providingfeasibility, concept and detailed designs for government agency clientsas well as contractor partners.

Your role will include:

  • Play a hands-on role in supporting of an expanding portfolio of complex water and wastewater projects for municipal and industrial clients
  • Carry out concept and detailed mechanical engineering design tasks for water related infrastructure as well as maintaining positive client relationships
  • Deliver feasibility studies, business cases and reference designs for treatment plant projects as part of multi-discipline design teams including client personnel.
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals
  • Collaborate with other technical disciplines within the wider project teams as you provide input together to develop client-focused solutions
  • Utilise your technical engineering capabilities to play a contributing role in the design of projects as well as providing direction to others and helping monitor project progress and overall delivery

You will possess a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, experience supporting large-scale Water & Wastewater projects and a proven design background. You will have recently obtained or be working towards RPEQ certification.

Previous technical experience will be important, and a background in some of the following technical areas:

  • Fluid hydraulics,
  • Water / wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Water / Wastewater pumping stations
  • Pipework design
