Job summary

AECOM seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and oversee large-scale mechanical systems for water infrastructure. You’ll work on gates, hoists, actuators, pumps, and related control structures, using Autodesk Inventor and Revit to create drawings and models.

The role requires a ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree with 6+ years of experience or equivalent, and US PE licensure within two years. Travel for site visits is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• US PE licensure or ability to obtain within two years.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale mechanical systems for water infrastructure.
• Create 3D models using Inventor, Revit or similar software.
• Size and select hoists, actuators and waterworks components.
• Perform calculations to ensure integrity and compliance with codes.
• Review drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
