Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Process Mechanical Water and Wastewater Engineer Lead for our Water Business Line, based out of Chelmsford, MA. This project-based role involves supporting wastewater/water treatment plant design, Design-Build, and program management across project phases from planning to closeout.

The incumbent will work with project managers and technical teams, perform field visits, and contribute as a design liaison on active construction projects in the Boston metro area.

Responsibilities

• Builds analytic and design skills.
• Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Evaluation and selection of process equipment, pumping systems, pipe materials, and valves under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Technical report writing.
• Construction services support (e.g., shop drawing review).
• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking highly motivated Process Mechanical Water and Wastewater Engineer Lead for employment in our Water Business Line based out of oursuburban Boston, MA located in Chelmsford, MA. This is a project-based engineering position to assist and support Wastewater/Water Treatment Plant Design, Design-Build and Program Management Projects. The Position will work with Project Managers and other technical disciplines on all project phases including Facility Planning, Design, Procurement, Construction and Close Out. Work will include assistingcoordination of design projects on municipal Wastewater/Water facilities. Field work will be required and field visits to project sites within the Boston Metro area will be required to provide support as design liaison on ongoing construction projects.
