Job summary

CAC I International Inc. in Indiana is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support NSWC Crane Division tasks focusing on mechanical system design, integration, and acquisition processes.

The role requires close collaboration with the Program Manager and DoD customers to ensure on-time delivery of quality products and documentation. You will perform analyses across the system lifecycle, develop architectural guidelines, and contribute to MBSE activities using DOORS and CAMEO.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
  • 3+ years engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with requirements tracking and MBSE tools (DOORS/CAMEO).
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple task orders with systems engineering focus.
  • Provide technical rigor and assist Program Manager and Chief Engineer.
  • Define mechanical system implementation approaches and develop models/guidelines.
  • Capture design requirements and develop products for testing and evaluation.
  • Monitor project performance, schedules, and vendor deliverables.
  • Assist with market research, ROM estimates, and procurement support.
