Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design and build the physical test stands used to test their iron-air battery systems. You will design complex mechanical test equipment from CAD concept through fabrication and assembly, and build test systems with HVAC, thermal management, hydrogen and electrolyte handling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Mechanical Engineering experience
• Strong CAD/design background, especially SolidWorks or NX
• Experience designing/building test equipment, test stands, fixtures, or similar hardware
• Experience taking designs through fabrication/assembly
• Manufacturing Engineering experience
• Experience with thermal/HVAC/fluid/air-handling systems
• Exposure to sensors, actuators, instrumentation, or DAQ
• Experience around high-power or chemical systems and safety requirements
• Battery/energy experience is a plus, not required

What they’ll actually do:
