Job summary

Maverick Power in Texas seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design switchboards/switchgear, prepare BOMs, and produce manufacturing-ready drawings, applying design-for-manufacturing to reduce cost and lead times.

Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years in manufacturing; SolidWorks experience and wiring schematic interpretation a must. On-site role with competitive pay, bonus potential, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with switchgear or power distribution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project proposals and develop solutions using power distribution knowledge.
• Design mechanical parts for switchboards and switchgear manufacturability with CAD.
• Design 3D models of switchboards.
• Generate bills of material and modify standard assemblies for projects.
• Collaborate with electrical/mechanical engineering and production teams.
• Interpret customer bid package drawings and diagrams.
• Support manufacturing, testing, quality, and field service teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
