Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical systems from schematics to construction administration across diverse building types. You will participate in the design process, prepare detailed calculations and drawings to code, and collaborate with integrated design teams.

The successful candidate will contribute to developing project objectives, perform HVAC/plumbing/fire protection design, and coordinate with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 0–5 years of experience in an MEP firm working on commercial/public projects.
• Proven experience designing HVAC, plumbing and fire protection building systems on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC, plumbing and fire protection designs from concept through construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and mechanical system layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design requirements with architecture, structure and other disciplines.
• Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
