Zusammenfassung

Konecranes is seeking a mechanical/design engineer to create cranes and material handling equipment in SolidWorks within a collaborative, multi-discipline environment. You will size drive components, annotate detailed drawings, and develop BOMs while adhering to international codes and customer specs.

The role involves working with an installation crew and cross-functional teams on turn-key projects, with opportunities for global travel, including nuclear facility access, to support customers

Qualifikationen

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of related experience.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally including nuclear facilities.

Aufgaben

Design cranes and material handling equipment in SolidWorks in a structured 3D environment.
Perform initial sizing calculations for motors, gearboxes and drive components.
Annotate drawings with welding and machining symbols per industry codes.
Develop BOMs to itemize mechanical components.
Collaborate with electrical, structural, installation teams on turnkey projects.
Provide technical support to installation crews and customers.
Develop detailed technical specifications and procedures for customer use.
Optimize bridge girders, trolleys and crane components to reduce costs and improve delivery schedules.
