Job summary

Temposonics seeks a Mechanical Engineer to strengthen the sensor market leadership through customer-focused, cost-aware mechanical design. You will drive NPI efforts, develop housings and components, and ensure manufacturability with GD&T and ISO standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, performing analyses, and supporting DV testing, ECO control, and product cost targets while collaborating across engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.
• 3–8 years of related job experience.
• Experience with electronic component packaging in an R&D environment.
• Proven involvement in structured New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
• Deep understanding of ASME Y14.5 standards (GD&T) and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for sensor housings and components.
• Perform DFMEA, DV testing, and design reviews.
• Collaborate with vendors and manufacturing for DF/M (DFM).
• Support manufacturing with tooling development and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support to sales and service teams.
