Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Cincinnati, OH to join a global team focused on safety, security and access management. You will define mechanical system requirements, develop 3D models, and work with manufacturing and other brands.

Requirements include a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years in mechanical design, with experience in FMEA, GD&T, DFM/DFA and Creo. The role offers a hybrid schedule, opportunities for leadership, and growth within a 12,000+ employee organization.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3+ years in design and integration of mechanical systems.
• Experience in concept-to-production mechanical design and cross-functional processes.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as roll forming, sheet metal stampings, machining, welding.

Responsibilities

• Define mechanical system requirements and specifications.
• Utilize FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, GD&T, Tolerance Stack Analysis & DFM/DFA to evaluate and mitigate risks.
• Develop design documentation, 3D models/drawings, and manufacturing/test instructions.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and other brands.
