Job summary

QinetiQ US (formerly Avantus Federal) is hiring for a mechanical design position focused on developing ruggedized military hardware. The ideal candidate will utilize 3D CAD modeling tools like SolidWorks and have at least 7 years of mechanical design experience.

This role includes collaborating in a multidisciplinary engineering team, supporting and troubleshooting various DOD programs, and documenting mechanical designs within the company's data management system.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design in all aspects of a product lifecycle.
• Must have experience with 3D CAD modeling tools and creating detailed engineering drawings with geometric tolerancing.
• Must have active Secret or higher level clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as a matrix engineer on multiple projects and help conceptualize systems.
• Design hardware products using 3D CAD modeling tools.
• Support and troubleshoot mechanical design and product issues.
