Job description

Based in Houston, this senior mechanical engineering opportunity focuses on high-pressure compression and rotating equipment, with broader involvement in static equipment such as vessels and heat exchangers. You’ll provide technical expertise, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in client meetings, helping strengthen the growing Houston mechanical team. You’ll also contribute technical input to proposals and work-winning activities, although this will be a smaller part of the role.

The position is initially a 12-month W2 contract, with negotiable rates and potential to transition into direct hire. Part-time or ad hoc consulting arrangements may also be considered for highly experienced engineers.

About You

You’re an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in high-pressure compression and rotating equipment. You combine specialist knowledge with a generalist understanding of mechanical equipment, including vessels and heat exchangers. LNG experience would be valuable but is not essential.

You’re a confident communicator who can represent your discipline in client meetings, explain technical recommendations and work effectively across engineering teams. You may be seeking a longer-term opportunity to help build a team around your expertise, or an opportunity to contribute your knowledge through part-time consulting support.
