Job summary

You will create CAD models in SolidWorks, develop drawings, support fabrication and prototype builds, and work with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and manufacturability.

Candidates should have hands‑on problem solving, strong communication, and a practical understanding of sheet metal, weldments, and DFM.

Qualifications

• Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies from concept through prototype or production.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software, including 3D modeling, engineering drawings, GD&T fundamentals, assembly design, and DFM.
• Experience with sheet metal, welded structures, machined components, and standard mechanical hardware.
• Specifying COTS component selection and coatings or corrosion mitigation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and support component inspection.
• Experience with prototype assembly, troubleshooting, and hands-on testing.
• Familiarity with engineering analysis, including basic structural calculations or FEA.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and collaborate across engineering teams.
