Job summary

DistributionNOW in Tomball, TX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide technical support for Power Service, including vessel design per ASME Section VIII, piping and valve analysis, and process simulations.

You will create Excel tools, run Promax simulations, and model pressure vessel designs in Inventor, while communicating clearly with colleagues and following established policies and procedures. A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and strong communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Size and design pressure retaining vessels in accordance with ASME Section VIII code.
• Answer technical questions for co-workers regarding pumps, pressure vessels, piping, and valves.
• Run process simulations on Promax to predict outcomes of process scenarios.
• Create Excel programs to benefit the company.
• Run Inventor simulations to model pressure vessel designs and verify calculations.
