Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a full-time contract role in Herndon, VA. The candidate will own major design tasks, lead multidisciplinary teams, develop and test mechanical hardware, and support field demonstrations in a lab environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience or a Graduate degree with 4+ years, strong CAD (Creo) skills, and familiarity with GD&T. Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Experience in precision mechanical hardware and mechatronics is desirable.
• Proficiency in Creo and understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of tasking with limited supervision on high consequence program activities.
• Provide regular communications and briefings to internal and external stakeholders including customer reps.
• Generate Technical Data Package components (Part and Assembly drawings).
• Prototype, integrate, and test component parts and assemblies.
• Develop test plans and procedures for mechanical subsystems.
• Perform test and evaluation of component parts and systems.
• Participate in peer reviews and design reviews.
• Direct Designers/ Technicians/Operators as part of a design team.
• Support field testing/demonstration efforts as an ME field representative.
