Job summary

American Pacific Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support design, operation, maintenance, reliability, and expansion of chemical manufacturing facilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 1–3+ years of mechanical engineering experience in chemical/manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of ASME/API codes and standards.
• Experience with project engineering and coordination of contractors, vendors, and other engineering resources.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for safe, reliable operation, maintenance, and expansion of the plant.
• Design, evaluate, troubleshoot, and improve mechanical equipment and systems (tanks, pumps, blowers, chillers, agitators, heat exchangers, cooling towers, etc.).
• Apply ASME, API, and other standards to equipment evaluations and projects.
• Manage capital, maintenance, reliability, expansion, and improvement projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Coordinate outside engineering firms, contractors, vendors, and other resources with plant departments.
