Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (PE) in the Denver area to contribute to mechanical design for industrial, commercial, wastewater, and water facilities. The role involves developing design documents, reports, calculations, and construction cost opinions alongside project managers and mechanical leadership.

You will participate in design through construction, with growth opportunities and a focus on technology and sustainable practice within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Familiarity with building codes, ASHRAE manuals, and LEED requirements.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire-protection design.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical system designs from concept through construction with an EIT support.
• Perform HVAC load calculations and energy models per codes and standards.
• Size equipment and develop layouts for HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Review construction specifications using MasterSpec for applicable projects.
• Support construction admin: respond to RFIs, review submittals, perform site observations.
