Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, PE preferred, 5+ years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects as the LA office grows toward leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, energy, and plumbing codes.
• Exposure to energy modeling tools such as EnergyPro or similar software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self motivated, organized, and comfortable managing priorities.
• Team player who contributes to culture as well as project delivery.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• General understanding of AEC industry practices and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Taking on hands-on mechanical design work across a variety of building projects.
• Designing HVAC and plumbing systems in line with current codes and standards.
• Working in AutoCAD and Revit to produce coordinated design documentation.
• Managing multiple tasks and priorities across active projects.
• Collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and other disciplines.
• Supporting and influencing the continued growth of the Los Angeles office.
• Gradually taking ownership of projects with increased responsibility over time.
