Job summary

Neya Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and integrate rugged hardware for off-road autonomy. You will collaborate with software, electrical, and systems teams to deliver robust robotic platforms and subsystems capable of operating in harsh environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, GD&T, and DFMA while supporting field demonstrations and customer testing. Applicants must have U.S. citizenship or permanent residency for defense contracting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• SolidWorks modeling and 3D CAD proficiency required.
• Experience in mechanical product design with hardware, sensors, and electronics.
• GD&T, structural/thermal analysis, and cross-disciplinary hardware integration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive full-lifecycle mechanical engineering from concept to field deployment.
• Define mechanical and environmental requirements with customer leads and internal teams.
• Use SolidWorks to design complex parts and assemblies for robotic systems.
• Conduct structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses; apply hand calculations and FEA/CFD tools (Ansys).
• Prototype, fabricate, and iterate concepts with technicians; ensure manufacturability and quality.
