Job summary

Neya Systems in Warrendale, PA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design robust hardware for off-road autonomy and custom robotic platforms. You will collaborate with software, electrical, and systems teams to deliver rugged sensor payloads, enclosures, and ground-vehicle sub-assemblies under demanding environmental conditions.

You’ll drive the full lifecycle from concept through prototype fabrication, testing, and field deployment, applying GD&T, SolidWorks, and thermal/structural analyses

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical product design with hardware, sensors, and electronics.
• Advanced SolidWorks modeling and GD&T capability.

Responsibilities

• Drive mechanical systems from concept to field deployment.
• Define mechanical and environmental requirements with customer leads and internal teams.
• Create complex parts and assemblies using SolidWorks for integrated robotic systems.
• Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses using hand calculations, Python, and Ansys/CFD.
• Prototype, fabricate, and test concepts with fabrication tools and technicians.
• Apply GD&T and create manufacturing drawings with DFMA in mind.
• Collaborate with autonomy, software, and electrical teams in a lab and vehicle test environment.
• Conduct environmental testing and compile technical test reports.
• Support technical proposals and leadership reviews with feasibility studies.
