You will design and develop mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for Outdoor Cooking products, using CAD models, drawings, cost estimates, prototyping and testing with a cross‑functional team.

This hybrid role requires in‑office days at our Palatine campus; you’ll work with Quality, Manufacturing and Suppliers to meet performance specs and regulatory requirements, create BOMs, and

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum: 3 to 5 years’ experience in a relevant field; experience designing solutions meeting regulatory and safety requirements.
• SolidWorks proficiency with 3D modeling, sheet metal, surfacing, drawings.

Aufgaben

• Develop solutions through requirements decomposition, DFMEA, P‑Diagrams, and Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R).
• Create and refine design solutions for assemblies to identified product requirements, formalize designs with CAD (SolidWorks).
• Ensure that products are designed to meet all performance specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Work collaboratively with Quality, Manufacturing, and Suppliers.
• Create models, drawings, and bill of material.
• Support prototype creation and models to validate designs including hands‑on testing and iterative learning.
• Designs and runs test plans related to project work.
• Perform basic IP searches.
• Supports non‑NPD initiatives including the resolution of quality issues, cost reductions, and productivity initiatives.
• Develop unique and innovative solutions for unmet customer needs and/or new features to maintain product leadership.
