Job summary

GreenXT is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support Surface Ships in Philadelphia. The role covers in-service engineering for HM&E systems, O&M support, and lifecycle management for Navy auxiliary machinery.

The candidate will provide programmatic and technical support, test procedures, and coordination for alterations and ship change documents, while engaging in SEP-related activities and on-site ship checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Active DoD Secret level security clearance.
• 3+ years of Navy Ship Auxiliary systems experience (AC/R, HES-C, Auxiliary fuel, Lube oil).
• Experience with MACHALTs, alterations, engineering change proposals, and ship change documents (SCDs).
• Ability to lift heavy equipment (≥30 lbs) and work in shipboard environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-service engineering for AC/R, Auxiliary, Life Support, and related HM&E systems.
• Support testing, procedures, and onsite coordination for MACHALTs and SCDs.
• Review designs and drawings, identify interferences with vessel configurations.
• Provide ship system configuration, testing, training, and troubleshooting for HM&E.
• Conduct pre- and post-installation checks to verify installation drawings.
