Job summary

Harmar Mobility seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to join our engineering team. You will work with experienced engineers on sustaining and new product innovations for mobility lifts, ensuring manufacturability and reliability.

Responsibilities include designing mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, prototyping, testing, and releasing to production. SolidWorks CAD, GD&T, and DFMEA/DFM familiarity are required to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in an industrial environment.
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
  • Experience designing mechanical/electro-mechanical systems.
  • SolidWorks CAD experience preferred.
  • FMEA/DFM/DFT, GD&T and risk analysis knowledge.
  • Strong planning and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical/electro-mechanical lift systems from concept to production.
  • Define specs, prototype, test, document and release to manufacturing.
  • Evaluate concepts for manufacturability, cost, and packaging.
  • Generate prototypes, perform testing and analyze results.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and ensure safety compliance.
