Baxter is seeking a mechanical engineer to design and develop components for next-generation infusion systems. You will translate customer needs into requirements, create robust CAD models, run analyses, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to bring products from concept to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of engineering experience; medical device or infusion pump experience is a plus.
• Experience with CAD modeling and mechanical design analysis.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development, and engineering best practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and mechanisms for advanced electro-mechanical medical devices.
• Translate customer and user needs into product requirements, specifications, and system architectures.
• Apply expertise in plastics, sheet metal, castings, DFM/DFA, drive mechanisms, and fluid systems.
• Perform engineering analyses including tolerance stack-ups, structural, thermal, fatigue, and reliability assessments.
• Utilize CAD and simulation tools (SolidWorks preferred; FEA experience a plus) to create and validate designs.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Lead testing, troubleshooting, design improvements, and product qualification activities.
• Support product transfer to manufacturing, optimizing designs for scalability, quality, compliance, and cost.
