Sierra Pacific Industries, based in Northern California with fabrication shop in Eugene, Oregon, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and rebuild lumber manufacturing equipment and lead 3D modeling efforts.

The role requires a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, familiarity with SolidWorks, and knowledge of hydraulics, drives, welding, and machining. Expect collaboration with fabrication teams and ongoing learning in a dynamic setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in lumber industry and/or machine design preferred.
• Experience with SolidWorks or 3D modeling software required; FEA analysis helpful.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, drives, welding, and machining preferred.
• Machine center alignment and installation experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Design and rebuild lumber manufacturing equipment.
• Assist in development and improvement of lumber processing equipment.
• Model detailed concepts and designs using 3D modeling software.
• Provide leadership to assemblers and machinists.
• Coordinate activities for development of new equipment.
