Sierra Pacific Company seeks a design-focused mechanical engineer to design, rebuild, and improve lumber manufacturing equipment using 3D modeling. You will coordinate new development, supervise installations and start-ups, and guide shop personnel while collaborating with operations.

Requires a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience, plus SolidWorks expertise and hands-on installation know-how; hydraulics, welding, and fabrication knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or five years of significantly equivalent experience.
• Three years of SolidWorks experience and machine alignment and installation experience.
• FEA experience is a plus; hydraulics, drives, welding, fabrication, and machining preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design, rebuild, and improve lumber manufacturing and processing equipment.
• Coordinate new equipment development and supervise installations, upgrades, and start-ups.
• Provide direction to shop personnel and collaborate with company operations.
