Sierra Pacific Industries in Eugene, Oregon seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and rebuild lumber equipment in our Fabrication Shop. You will model concepts using 3D software and lead assemblers while collaborating with operations to meet equipment needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, hands-on design experience, and strong communication. Competitive wages and benefits accompany a path for growth within our family-owned company.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 1 year experience in the lumber industry and/or machine design preferred.
• Experience with SolidWorks or 3D modeling software required; FEA analysis experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, drives, welding, and machining preferred.
• Machine center alignment and installation experience preferred.
• Able to contribute creative solutions and succeed in an innovative environment.
• Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Mansioni

• Assist in the development and improvement of lumber processing equipment.
• Effectively model detailed concepts and designs using 3D modeling software.
