Job summary

Frontier Energy, through its Food Service Technology Center, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to testing and research in energy efficiency. You will work on multidisciplinary projects, analyze results, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

In this role you will install and troubleshoot test setups, prepare technical reports, and collaborate with teams while adhering to safety standards and participating in outreach and site activities.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Knowledge of engineering physics, statistics, and experimental design.
• Willing to work in a team and independently when needed.
• Willing to develop skills beyond existing experience.
• Must be able to participate in work events during non-business hours.
• Must lift more than 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot test apparatus and instrumentation.
• Setup, maintenance, cleanup, and decommissioning of test apparatus.
• Conduct site assessments for data collection purposes.
• Document, track, and maintain relevant equipment, instrument, and test records.
• Prepare technical reports and deliver presentations summarizing test results.
• Manage activities from multiple projects in various stages of completion.
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Assist with equipment shipping, receiving and installation.
• Interface with visitors and tours as assigned.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
