Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer IV focused on camera prototyping and hardware integration in Sunnyvale. You will prototype integrated camera systems, bring up devices for demos, and coordinate hardware demos with cross‑functional teams.

The role requires CAD, mechanical/optical/electrical prototyping, and familiarity with camera sensors streaming RAW data. Master’s degree is preferred and Android adb experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiarity with working with camera sensors streaming RAW data.
• Experience with mechanical, optical, and electrical prototyping, including assembling complex systems, soldering, basic electrical testing, and aligning optical components.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware prototypes for integrated camera systems, including CAD design, electrical engineering, and optical components.
• Support the purchasing process for prototyping and demo efforts.
• Ensure demo readiness by performing device bring-up, dry-run demos, and loading all necessary calibration and software.
• Support internal product demos by ensuring devices are working optimally and participating in hardware demonstrations.
• Collaborate with data collection teams and manage procurement for internal camera system prototypes.
• Plan and manage prototype projects involving multiple team members.

• Expertise in prototyping skills, including CAD design, 3D printing, electrical design, programming embedded devices, and assembling consumer electronics.
• Experience working with Android devices (adb).

Pay Range: $80 - $85
