Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation in the United States (NY area) seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern to research, plan, design, and develop mechanical products and systems for production and testing. You will apply research to planning, design, development, and testing of systems such as instruments, controls, engines, and machines.

Candidates should be pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with hands-on design experience and proficiency in Creo.

• Experience with Mechanical design & troubleshooting
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.

In this role, you will research, plan, design, and develop mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. You will apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

• Working towards Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with Mechanical design & troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Creo
• Must be a US Citizen, this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of 3D modeling
• Experience with Additive Manufacturing

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $26.81 - $37.15

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
