Job summary

Worley is seeking an Undergraduate Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our Reading, PA team. You will support multidisciplinary engineering teams on Power Generation, Power Network, and data center projects, delivering mechanical design, analyses, and documentation.

This internship offers hands-on exposure to CAD tools, vendor reviews, site visits, and collaboration with electrical, civil, and process engineers to ensure safe, reliable facilities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Foundational coursework in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Exposure to CAD or engineering analysis software.
• Willingness to work in Reading/Wyomissing, PA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and evaluation of mechanical systems for power generation, power network, and data center projects.
• Support calculations, equipment sizing, data collection, and analyses under guidance.
• Help prepare drawings, specifications, equipment lists, and reports.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines to support integrated design solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and meetings; document actions.
• Research equipment, materials, codes, and industry practices.
• Assist with vendor document reviews and bid evaluations.
• Support field visits, site observations, and data gathering.
• Maintain accurate project files and meet quality, schedule, budget targets.
