Job summary

Worley is seeking a motivated Civil/Structural Engineer Intern to support our Reading, Pennsylvania office and contribute to projects across the power generation and power networks sectors. You will gain practical exposure to analysis, design, and documentation of civil and structural systems for energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Foundational coursework in statics, mechanics of materials, structural analysis, reinforced concrete, steel design, geotechnical engineering.
• Interest in power generation, substations, and energy infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret technical information and perform calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil and structural engineering calculations, analyses, and design tasks under guidance of experienced engineers.
• Support the development of drawings, specifications, reports, and other project deliverables.
• Contribute to the design of foundations, supports, steel/concrete structures, and related infrastructure for power facilities.
• Review vendor information, codes, and project requirements for engineering work.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and other teams to support integrated delivery.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs, field data review, design checks, and document control.
• Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and document action items.
• Support site visits or field assignments while following safety requirements.
• Communicate progress and manage priorities within the project team.
