IDEX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern in Oklahoma City to provide hands-on engineering support within a manufacturing environment. You will assist with product design, testing, documentation, and manufacturing processes while gaining practical experience under the supervision of the Engineering Manager.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, maintaining technical records, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) through coursework or projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with product design, development, and improvement projects under supervision.
• Create and update engineering drawings, models, and documentation using CAD software.
• Support engineering change requests by updating documentation, drawings, bills of material, and related records.
• Assist with prototype builds, product testing, and validation activities.
• Collect, organize, and analyze engineering test data and prepare summaries of findings.
• Support R&D projects through data gathering, testing, and documentation.
• Maintain engineering records and support document control processes.
• Participate in design reviews and cross‑functional team activities.
