Job summary

IDEX in Linthicum is looking for an intern to enhance technical sales data by creating application guides and simulation tools. Interns will gain hands-on experience in CAD modeling and technical communication while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales and Engineering.

The ideal candidate is a college student enrolled in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with SolidWorks experience. This role offers a chance to make significant contributions and present outcomes to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Current college student enrolled at a Maryland higher education institution.
• At least sophomore standing majoring in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• SolidWorks experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a mechanical demonstration structure for valve performance comparison.
• Create CAD models and engineering drawings for prototype components.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure manufacturability and safety of designs.
