Job summary

CMTA is seeking a co-op student in mechanical or architectural engineering to develop HVAC layout and equipment details, and to produce schematics. You will assist in assembling drawings and may participate in data collection and field verifications across CMTA projects.

The role offers hands-on training in AutoCAD and Revit, collaboration with designers and engineers, and potential path to full-time employment upon graduation.

Qualifications

• Students pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, preferably sophomores or juniors.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Assist the design team in assembling organized sets of drawings
• May assist in data collection and field verification
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop all aspects of projects

About You

The company is looking for:

• Students pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, preferably sophomores or juniors
• Strong interest in Building Systems Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work full time onsite during the co-op term
• Ability to travel locally for job site inspections and field work

Training & Development
