Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to join our Mechanical Engineering team. You will own product design across the full development cycle with minimal oversight and contribute to structural, mechanical, and/or fluids systems.

You will work on design, analysis, verification, and documentation, collaborating across disciplines to deliver hardware for New Glenn and related programs. 5+ years of experience and strong CAD/GD&T skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical engineering across hardware lifecycle.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawing creation (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX).
• Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 or equivalent.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to full engineering design cycle with technical depth across disciplines.
• Own product design, development strategy, and tactical planning.
• Create, review, and maintain engineering drawings, models, specifications, and test procedures.
