Job summary

Cindavi is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to design and deliver automated material-handling systems for high-performing warehouse operations. You will own project components, work with a tight-knit team, and translate complex operational challenges into reliable automation.

The role requires CAD expertise (2D/3D), familiarity with conveyors and integration, and independent component ownership. You will collaborate across disciplines to drive projects from concept to implementation.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in material handling, automation, conveyors, packaging or automated storage.
• Strong 2D/3D CAD capability; AutoCAD preferred, SolidWorks or equivalent acceptable.
• Understanding of system integration, mechanical layouts, statics, dynamics, GD&T, equipment specs, and vendor collaboration.
• Ability to manage project components independently and collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical subsystems for automated material-handling projects including conveyors, mezzanines, support structures, and related equipment.
• Create accurate layouts, drawings, calculations, documentation, and material-flow diagrams using 2D/3D CAD tools.
• Own smaller projects and components typically in the $500K–$1M range, building toward larger work.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, sales, vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams to bring solutions from concept to integration.
• Support equipment selection, vendor coordination, project planning, risk identification, site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Help improve engineering tools, standards, and processes while growing expertise in warehouse automation.
