Job summary

Cindavi is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, improve, and deliver sophisticated automated machinery for high-volume manufacturing in Jackson, MI. You will build equipment, upgrade systems, and work with controls and manufacturing to move designs from concept to production and installation.

The role involves hands-on mechanical design for conveyors, pneumatics, and packaging automation, with collaboration across controls, electrical, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience in manufacturing.
• Significant hands-on experience designing industrial machinery or automated equipment in a 3D CAD environment.
• Strong SolidWorks proficiency or comparable 3D CAD platform.
• Experience with packaging equipment, conveyors, material handling, automation, pneumatics, or related mechatronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Design new machinery and modify existing automated equipment using 3D CAD (SolidWorks).
• Own mechanical and mechatronic design work for conveyors, pneumatics, packaging equipment, and custom assemblies.
• Collaborate with electrical and controls engineers to ensure designs meet hardware and interface requirements.
