Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of lab experience.
• Preference for experience with mechanical/electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office.
• Strong math, analysis, and computation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret protocols and industry specs.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, procure, implement, and maintain mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Support sales, facilities, and production with mechanical knowledge.
• Investigate and manage projects across plumbing, electrical, and structural items.
• Design and lead fabrication of test fixtures with proper documentation.
• Drive qualification of test fixtures and acceptance.
• Provide training for new fixtures, equipment, or tooling.
• Lead equipment installation, maintenance, upgrades, and validation.
• Model, design, and fabricate specialized equipment and fixtures.
• Assist production and engineering with client testing.
• Design custom test fixtures meeting specs.
• Backup calibration tasks and uncertainty of measurement.
• Maintain the QMS calibration procedures and continuous improvement.
• Interface with customers on calibration and validation questions.
• Mentor other mechanical engineers with knowledge sharing.

Education

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering

3-5 years lab experience in mechanical engineering

Reading and interpreting documents (protocols, specs)

Advanced Math, analysis, and computation

Computer literacy
