Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join the Electronic Warfare Mechanical Design Hardware Section. You will help design RF systems with emphasis on thermal and vibration environments for airborne platforms, collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines.

The role involves electronics packaging, thermal/structural analysis, and component design using CREO and related tools. Onsite work with potential travel and a requirement for U.S. citizenship and DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or STEM field required by start date.
• Solid foundation in calculus, physics, statics/dynamics and materials.
• Experience with GD&T and ASME drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to RF system mechanical design for thermal and vibration challenges.
• Assist in electronics packaging design, thermal/structural analyses, and fabrication processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across programs in Goleta, CA.
