Iris Technology Corporation in Irvine, CA, is seeking a mechanical engineer II to design, analyze, and integrate mechanical components for advanced R&D and manufacturing applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-efficient, high-quality solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office tools. Bachelor's in engineering and AS9100 familiarity preferred.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years in a highly technical R&D/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read/interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with systems integration.
• Familiarity with MS Project, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and customers.

Mansioni

• Develop product packaging concepts that are functional and ergonomic.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks with fabrication drawings.
• Analyze designs for thermal and structural performance.
• Evaluate and select materials and manufacturing processes to meet cost targets.
• Coordinate vendors and oversee quality inspections for components.
• Prepare technical presentations for clients as needed.
• Support systems integration and interpretation of drawings.
• Develop cost-effective, value-driven designs meeting requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation per standards (military and AS9100).
