Job summary

Indotronix is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II for an onsite role in Newton, NC. The position involves leading complex mechanical engineering efforts to support optical fiber manufacturing qualification, validation, and capacity expansion, from concept through commissioning and sustained operation.

You will oversee vendors and cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions, with a focus on uptime, quality, and efficiency in an active manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant manufacturing/engineering experience.
• Experience independently leading equipment installations, line modifications, or commissioning.
• Ability to create and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Act as mechanical technical lead for initiatives, delivering qualified equipment and process improvements.
• Drive installation, commissioning, and qualification plans with cross-functional teams.
• Review submittals, verify design against specs, and ensure safety and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
