Job summary

Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD seeks a Mechanical Engineer III to lead hardware development across the product lifecycle. You will apply advanced engineering methods to develop practical solutions for complex mechanical challenges, create detailed designs, and guide multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, CAD proficiency (NX/SolidWorks), and the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret Security Clearance.
• Advanced CAD proficiency: UG NX and/or SolidWorks; complex models/assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware development across product lifecycle from concept to lab integration.
• Apply advanced technical expertise to solve complex mechanical challenges.
• Perform detailed design and analysis of mechanical structures and subsystems.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide design reviews; ensure quality documentation.
