Job summary

Divergent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to drive the design and development of automation components for the Adaptive Production System (DAPS). You will own projects from concept through testing and release, balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust automation hardware and contribute to scalable manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing mechanical components from concept to release.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD, drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design and development of automation components and subsystems from concept to deployment.
• Translate requirements into mechanical interfaces, constraints and acceptance criteria with cross-functional teams.
• Develop practical solutions balancing cost, schedule, reliability and manufacturability.
