Job summary

TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturer to hire a Mechanical Engineer II. This role supports product development from concept through production, using CFD, FEA, CAD, and advanced engineering methods to improve performance and manufacturability.

The candidate will apply CFD/FEA within the product development lifecycle, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to testing, validation, and design optimisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience designing consumer or industrial products.
• Experience applying FEA and/or CFD techniques within product development environments.
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, CAESES, or similar platforms.
• Experience working within cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support product development activities from proof of concept through production launch.
• Develop and optimize products through fluid dynamics, structural, and manufacturability analyses.
• Perform FEA and CFD simulations to support engineering decisions and product validation.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute product testing and validation activities.
• Analyse test and simulation results and recommend product improvements.
• Develop and enhance CAE processes and methodologies to improve product development efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, testing, and supplier teams to support project objectives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on design, development, and performance optimisation.
• Document engineering analyses, validation results, and design recommendations throughout the product lifecycle.
