Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to design, analyze and document mechanical and electro-mechanical designs for demanding PCB and technology products.

You will perform FEA studies, create manufacturing documentation, and support qualification testing within a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves reviewing customer specs, ensuring design compliance, and communicating technical details.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0-2 years relevant experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such a clearance.
• Experience with mechanical design and verification within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform finite element analysis studies and document results.
• Design experiments, analyze data and conduct structured problem solving.
• Support manufacturing process to improve manufacturability.
• Review industry standard and customer specification requirements and ensure designs are compliant.
• Work concurrently with RF, Manufacturing, Process and Project Engineers to optimize designs for performance and manufacturability.
• Generate reports (mechanical analysis reports).
• Create product documentation for manufacturing.
• Create documentation for customer interface (Datasheets).
• Participate in preliminary and critical design review phases of design.
• Take ownership of internal and external customer issues and follow through to ensure a lasting service impression.
