Job summary

ASK Consulting seeks a Mechanical Engineer II for a hybrid role in Atlanta, GA. The position is a 12+ month contract with pay in the $60.00–$62.96/hr on W2. Direct employment by ASK Consulting; sponsorship cannot be provided at this time.

Responsibilities include CAD design, supplier coordination, and environmental testing, with travel to GTS Marietta as needed. The ideal candidate has a Mechanical/Aerospace background with 2+ years of experience or equivalent combination, and hands-on CAD

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar field with 2+ years of experience.
Associate degree, technical certifications with 2+ years of experience; OR 5+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
Hands-on machining experience, CAD tools like Fusion 360 or SolidWorks desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide mechanical engineering support for the Mobile UCI production rollout.
Create and modify CAD designs and technical drawings as production needs evolve.
Coordinate with suppliers to procure and manufacture parts.
Identify and qualify new suppliers for components such as gaskets, wiring, and other mechanical parts.
Assist with environmental testing activities.
Establish inventory structures for new parts and assemblies.
Troubleshoot and resolve production and assembly issues, including travel to assembly locations such as GTS in Marietta as needed.
