Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Military and Veterans Affairs at Fort Indiantown Gap seeks a Mechanical Engineer 2 to design HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, review drawings, and support renovations with technical accuracy.

Requirements include one year as Mechanical Engineer 1 (or two years with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, or two years with an Engineer-in-Training certificate), valid driver’s license, and 1+ year CAD experience (AutoCAD/REVIT).

Formación

• One year as Mechanical Engineer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years of professional mechanical engineering experience which required work on any structural mechanical system, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; or
• Two years of professional mechanical engineering experience which required work on any structural mechanical system, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
• You must possess a valid driver’s license.
• This particular position also requires one or more years of experience using AutoCAD, REVIT, or similar Computer Aided Drafting software.

Responsabilidades

• System Design: Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs for renovation and construction projects, including analysis of existing systems
• Design Review: Evaluate drawings, reports, calculations, and cost estimates to ensure technical accuracy and cost efficiency
• CAD Development: Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to prepare construction drawings, schedules, and specifications for mechanical systems
• Technical Assistance: Provide guidance on mechanical systems, equipment selection, and innovative engineering solutions
• Project Evaluation: Conduct site assessments, develop scopes of work, and identify engineering requirements for proposed projects
