Job summary

Vitesse Systems in Longmont, Colorado seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to design and analyze components and assemblies ensuring structural integrity. You will collaborate with RF and Manufacturing Engineering to deliver manufacturable products for internal and external customers.

The role emphasizes design using SolidWorks, FEM/NASTRAN analysis, and documentation, with an expectation to support production and R&D and to drive continuous improvement in a high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering.
• At least 2 years of related design experience within aerospace.
• SolidWorks or similar CAD experience preferred.
• Experience with NEi/NX Nastran, Femap or similar analysis tools.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes including CNC machining and 3D printing.
• Project management skills to support production engineering.
• Ability to present technical information to internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware based on customer specifications using SolidWorks.
• Perform static, dynamic, and thermoelastic analyses per specs.
• Collaborate with RF, Manufacturing, and Production for manufacturability.
• Prepare documentation for design and analysis activities.
• Review drawings using GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Support production, testing, and R&D activities as needed.
• Assist sales with hours estimates and mockups for proposals.
