Job summary

Marotta Controls, a New Jersey Top Workplace, seeks an Engineer II - Mechanical to design products meeting customer specs in the Aerospace & Defense space. You will coordinate BOMs, develop test procedures, and ensure drawings and tolerances are accurate while interfacing with suppliers and customers.

Candidates should have a B.S. in Engineering and 2–5 years of design experience, with knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering required as minimum.
• 2-5 years design experience with valves and fluid control devices favored.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
• Ability to solve complex mechanical, static and dynamic problems.
• Must be US Citizen and eligible for security clearance.
• Exposure to analytical tools such as ANSYS or Pro-E/Mechanica.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate creation of a preliminary bill of materials in the business system and verify accuracy.
• Create development testing requirements, development test instructions, and release drawings for development hardware.
• Monitor customer-driven changes with written notification to Contracts Administrator or Program Manager.
• Ensure accuracy of all drawings/documents and tolerances across the project.
• Communicate technical and schedule issues to Engineering Manager/Director, Contracts Administrator, and Program Manager.
